The Division of Pediatric Neurology seeks a general pediatric neurologist, with fellowship training in neuromuscular disorders, to join their well-established program for a one-year locum position. The position will have an emphasis on clinical care of patients, teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the clinical and educational programs of the Division of Neurology and hold a clinical faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, University of British Columbia. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will be Royal College Neurology certified or equivalent with additional training in pediatric neuromuscular disorders and the ability to perform and interpret EMGs and NCS. The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a specialist's license to practice in British Columbia. The ideal candidate will have additional training in pediatric neuromuscular disease after residency and must have successfully passed the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists EMG examination and/or the American Board of Electrodiagnostic medicine examination.
